We are a team of certified school counselors using the ASCA model, who work to create an equitable school environment for each individual, providing the access, resources and information needed to achieve their goals in school and life.

We are NOT a guidance department. School counselors help all students apply academic achievement strategies, manage emotions and apply interpersonal skills. We support them as they learn about postsecondary options in higher education, military, and the work force.

We provide individual student academic planning and goal setting as well as school counseling classroom lessons based on student success standards. We are also qualified to offer short-term counseling to students and referrals for long-term support.

We work in collaboration with families, teachers, administrators and the community for student success. We advocate for students at individual education plan meetings and other student-focused meetings and use data analysis to identify student issues, needs and challenges. A school counselor acts as a systems change agent to improve equity and access, achievement and opportunities for all students.
